I’m Michael B. Sims, PhD. I completed my doctorate in the University of Washington’s Interdisciplinary PhD Program in Near and Middle Eastern Studies in 2023. I currently work as a Strategies Analyst for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Over the years I have translated a lot of sources in Kurdish, Arabic, Ottoman, Syriac, and Surayt/Turoyo, most of which never ended up being used in my dissertation or other writings. I want to make these available for researchers through this webpage. Additionally, I will share work related to digital humanities, data analysis and data science.
